    Our 6th Annual Valentine’s Day Dinner

    Every Valentine’s Day we forgo the calorie counting and create a decadent fine dining meal for two.  For $100*, you and your sugar can avoid the hassle of going out to dinner on one of the busiest nights of the year and enjoy a quiet dinner at home.

    The Details

    • Meals are delivered in a Farm to Fit Cooler Bag between 2:00-6:00 on Tuesday, February 14th and can be re-heated in the oven upon arrival.
    • Regular delivery charges apply, within our delivery zone or pick up locations.
    • For non-current clients, there will be a $20 refundable cooler deposit. You can either transfer the meals out of the cooler when we arrive or return it to 5411 NE Portland Highway, 97218 at your convenience

    After listening to our Portland-area customers tell us they were truly looking for a vegetarian menu option, we thrilled to debut our new Farm to Fit Vegetarian Plan Delivered Meals.

    We are still offering all three meals; Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, or any combination of the three. The portions will be based between 1200-1400 calories per day.

    With items including Spring Vegetable Burgundy and Satsuma Tofu and the popular Spring Vegetable Enchilada we are already seeing incredible at the response and feedback.

    Chef Jeremy has put together an excellent menu, and as usual, we are committed to incorporating as many local and seasonal products as possible. Fortunately for us, the Pacific Northwest is a veggie-chef’s dream. With our temperate climate we can access so much fresh produce, year-round, including local winter squash, greens, rhubarb, greens, lentils and more.

    The Vegetarian Meal Plan is delivered on Thursdays ONLY (for now).

    You can order 2 or 4 days of meals.

    2 days 3 meals per day – $55 2 meal per day (any combo) – $45 1 meal per day – $21

    4 days 3 meals per day – $115 2 meal per day (any combo) – $95 1 meal per day – $47

    This is just one example of our commitment to our customers. For over four years we’ve been delivering wholesome meals to the Portland-area market. We have many more upgrades and changes coming in 2016 and we look forward to serving you and your family with the best and healthiest of meals.

    Eating in Winter

    At Farm to Fit, we value seasonal eating. Chef Jeremy takes pride in crafting recipes that highlight what nature has to offer the Pacific Northwest throughout the year.  For example, both summer and winter menus have a Local Fish dish, but you’ll notice that in winter the fish is pared with root vegetables and cream sauces while summer’s version showcases veggies such as tomatoes, corn, and fresh basil.  Eating with the seasons is the most non-revolutionary idea ever – in fact it is as traditional as you’re gonna get.  It’s the way we survived for all those years before fair-trade treaties and international shipping.  Our bodies move in cycles, just like the seasons, and becoming attuned to our natural cycle is beneficial for wellness.  There are many foods that keep us hearty and healthy during the months of winter.  Warming soups made with rich stocks, black beans, kidney beans, dark leafy greens, lamb, chicken, etc. are nourishing and delicious.  Vegetables like potatoes, squash, turnips, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, leeks, cabbage, celery, turnips, kale, rutabagas, broccolini, etc. are readily available and are the perfect addition to any dish.  Cinnamon, fennel seeds, and walnuts are also good recipe additions, for their warming quality.     What the HEY is Cassoulet?

    Fun Fact: French culinary folklore insists that the secret to a perfect cassoulet lies in the breaking of the skin or film that forms during the cooling process – seven times…

    Those of you who ordered tomorrow night’s dinner may be having that very thought. Never heard of Cassoulet? You are not alone.

    First and foremost, it rhymes with “HEY”, and it’s fun to say. (For even more excitement, say it with a French accent, as ‘cassoulet’ originates in the south of France.)

    So… ‘What the HEY?’   Cassoulet: A slow-cooked casserole packed with protein and flavor, traditionally made with a variety of meats (duck, pork, goose, mutton,     lamb, etc.), white beans, and spices – topped with toasted breadcrumbs. (more…)

    Delivery Change and a Note from Dre!

    We’ve got some big time changes happening here at Farm to Fit and we are excited to share them with you!  


    We are changing our delivery days from Tuesday and Friday to Monday and Thursday.  This change takes effect Monday 6/23.  Don’t worry, we will send you reminders about this as the time approaches.  This means three things for you:

    1)      Leave you cooler bags out for us a day early!  (We’ll remind you for the first couple of weeks)

    2)      Your billing cycle will move up a day (for example, if you were billed on Tuesdays, you will now be billed on Mondays)…this will take effect over time, so don’t be concerned if you still see the pending charge on Tuesday/Friday

    3)      Your order change deadlines will move up.   So, to reorder for a new week OR to change your recurring order we will need to know by Thursdays at 9:00pm (for a Monday delivery) and Sunday at 9:00pm for a Thursday delivery.

    We know this is a pretty big transition (it definitely is for us!).  All this is to be able to bring you a fresher, better product —  so we are hoping you will be excited about this change as we are!  If you have any questions OR if this delivery schedule change is going to affect you receiving deliveries just let us know and let’s work it out together! 

    Friday 6/20 (you will receive Saturday, Sunday, Monday meals or just Monday meals if you are on the 5 day plan)

    Monday 6/23 (you will receive Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday meals)

    Thursday 6/26 (you will receive Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday meals or Fri & Mon meals for the 5 day plan)



    G. Scott and I are thrilled to be welcoming our newest member of the Farm to Fit Team: Baby Girl Pierce due in July!   You probably have already started receiving various emails from Ashley…she’s come on board as our Client Specialist to make sure you are taken care of!  She will be sending out renewal emails, taking care of billing, submitting your order changes and ensuring you get exactly what you ordered!  She can be reached at or .    BUT you can’t get rid of me that easily, I am still around and available if there is anything you need.  So don’t hesitate to email me !

    G. Scott and I have a lot of new things in the works and we are really excited to get them rolling this summer, specifically:

    1) The option to select certain dishes from our Signature menu (anyone know a great computer guru for our back end systems?)

    2) We have hired a new sous chef, Joy Ross (formerly of Tasty and Son’s and Tasty and Alder), to help us with a dessert and snack menu.

    3) We are currently creating our summer menu with so many new fresh veggies…we are so excited to bring this to you
