    DRE SLAMAN – CO FOUNDER

Dré is a Southern California native that arrived in beautiful Portland, via many cities, to take in the beautiful trees, clean air, and wonderful community. She received a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of the Pacific, a MFA in Acting from Northern Illinois University and has studied acting from Chicago to New York to Moscow. Dré has acted on stages across the country, has owned and operated a theatre in Los Angeles, and was Artistic Director of Momentum Theatre Group. While acting is in her blood, the food business is second nature. Dré’s first experience in the industry started before she was old enough to drive as she helped her family open a café in San Diego, CA. Several years, locations, and evolutions later the coffee shops are still open and voted “Best Cafe”, “Best Coffeehouse”, and “Best Bagel” by The San Diego Reader. “Farm to Fit was born out of a desire to help people like me live their lives and eat delicious food, without breaking their pocket books, waistlines, or schedules.”

    G. SCOTT BROWN – CO FOUNDER

    G. Scott has worn numerous hats in his lifetime, and has been on even more diets. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and he love horses, drink, college sports (U of L, not U of K), traveling and food. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from The Evergreen State College and his Master of Fine Arts in Acting form Northern Illinois University. G. Scott has worked in some of the finest restaurants in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Portland. “Dieting has been a part of my life ever since I was put on on Weight Watchers at age 11. After almost thirty years of yo-yo dieting, I have learned that portion control is what makes me lose weight easily and consistently (and its admittedly my biggest challenge). I also have been lucky enough to eat in some of the finest kitchens in the country and, after many delicious meals, I am convinced that fresh local products are what elevate a meal from good to fantastic.”
